The Pakrut gold mine, invested in and operated by CNMC in Tajikistan, is located on the Pamir Plateau at an altitude of 2,000 meters. It holds 30 tonnes of gold resources. Despite challenges such as difficult transportation, frequent avalanches, and limited communications, the project officially commenced production in 2018. Since then, it has developed into a modern, integrated gold producer encompassing mining, beneficiation, and smelting, and stands as a pioneering project in CNMC's foray into mineral resource development in Central Asia.
