Chairman Wang Tongzhou Attends the Second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation

From April 25 to 27, the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation themed with working together to deliver a brighter future for Belt and Road cooperation was held in Beijing. Chairman Wang Tongzhou attended relevant business activities.

Chairman Wang Tongzhou listened to the speeches delivered by President Xi Jinping at the opening ceremony and Leaders’ Roundtable. He pointed out that President Xi’s speech is very encouraging and inspiring. In his speech, President Xi Jinping gave a clear blue print and direction for jointly building Belt and Road. CNMC will further promote the international cooperation and the implementing of B&R, fulfill its responsibility as a central SOE, and make contribution to the world prosperity and the building of the community of shared future for mankind.

During the forum, Chairman Wang Tongzhou witnessed the signing of cooperation agreement between NFC and Kazakhstan enterprises on Bauxite project in Guinea, which is a new cooperation between the two sides after the several world level projects including Aktogay copper concentrator, Bozhakol copper mine, and Pavlodar aluminum plant, and is also another achievement of fulfilling “B&R” initiative. Chairman Wang Tongzhou also had in-depth communication with both Chinese and foreign enterprises on how to further promoting “B&R” initiative.

At the China-Chile CEO Luncheon, Chairman Wang Tongzhou reported the achievements CNMC has made in carrying out “B&R” initiative, especially cooperation with Chile enterprises to President of Chile Sebastian Pinera. He expressed that CNMC will implement the consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Pinera in their meeting, and to promote cooperation between China and Chile to a new stage, earnestly put the spirit of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation into force, further strengthen practical cooperation with Chilean enterprises, and make positive contributions to the development of " Belt and Road" construction.
