CNMC Ranked 386th in Fortune Global 500 for 4 years in a Row

Fortune Magazine just released the latest ranking of top 500 corporations worldwide on 20th July 2016 Beijing time. It’s been the 4th time for CNMC in a row since it was listed firstly in 2013. It is ranked 386th this year, up 4 places as compared to that of last year.

The ranking of “Fortune Global 500”, recognized as the final ranking and annually released by Fortune Magazine, has always been the most renowned and most authoritative list. Since 2016, there has seen a rising number of Chinese corporations listed on that ranking, reaching 110 in total with 13 mainland Chinese enterprises making their debut on the Fortune Magazine.

Founded in 1983 and with the main businesses involving non-ferrous metal exploration, engineering construction and related trade and services, CNMC has been the pioneer in going global in the nonferrous metal industry and one of the most successful state-owned enterprises to conduct international cooperation.

In recent years, facing with complicated and volatile global economy, CNMC has been committed to the requests made by Party Central Committee, the State Council and SASAC by further strengthening party leadership and party building. In addition, in light of the socialist quintet of modern China also known as “five in one” and “four comprehensives”, bearing in mind an innovative, coordinated, green and open concept of development, we will adapt ourselves to China’s new normal so as to elevate the overall strength of CNMC. At the moment, employees at home and abroad have all been involved in fighting an uphill battle against the sluggish economy in an effort to improve quality and efficiency. With the 13th -five year plan on the front, we aim to lay a solid foundation for CNMC to grow into a world-class mining company.
